Things I Never Thought I'd Say

"Don't use the baby as a weapon against your sister."

This was something I said when Chumlee was less than 3 months old, because I was on maternity leave still. Little Man and Princess were arguing about something. I had just finished feeding Chumlee and Little Man was hold her (he was - and still is - an expert burper) trying to get her to burp. When I looked over at them, Little Man was holding Chumlee under the arms and was pointing her at Princess trying to get Chumlee to spit up on Princess.

"She is a baby, not a baseball bat!"

This was said to Big Man (of all people) as he was swinging Chumlee's feet at balls that Little Man was throwing at them. Chumlee was 7 or 8 months old and the balls were bean bag type. Chumlee was thoroughly enjoying the event!

"Everyone gets their OWN towel after EACH shower!"

This was said to Little Man just the other night. Princess had come out of the bathroom to ask if she could get a towel out of my bathroom. Little Man promptly said, "Princess, just use the pink one that's in there." I said, "There's a towel in there?!?" Little Man said, "Yeah, the one I used. She can use it too. I use her towels all the time." Big Man and I could only laugh. It reminded me of this incident.
